After an amazing month in Kenya we have been here in Uganda for the past 4 months and two days.
Its amazing how quickly you can learn the basics - how to get around, buy food, how to get sunburnt. But also that "our white western culture and values" is very different from east Africa. Here there is no such thing as personal body space, no respect for your life on the roads, and because you are muzungu you are essentially rich and therefore should give it to me...Its a daily challenge to what you think are just the "norms" of life.
But what does the Kingdom of God look like here and specifically for the Keepers. That's our life and our challenge.
So day to day its looks like schooling for the kids - Megan has just started home-schooling and Ethan at a small Ugandan school, Paula as teacher, social worker, house executive, creative designer and director of supplies, Dave as driver and international itinerant preacher...
We are still in rented accommodation which costs way more than anticipated and has done an amazing job at depleting all resources; and the promised Church of Uganda house is still nowhere in-sight.
But all this certainly makes you pray and seek his Face more than ever. He is good and always faithful
